Feel free to ask me anything, I'll try to answer everybody. That's my story! I'm interested to see how the teams play with their new look rosters. TL DR I'm playing Madden 25 on Madden 08. And probably I'll have to tweak the rosters next season. Well, now I gotta play! I'm going to see if my 49ers will win Super Bowl XLII in February of 2008. I will also be adding a handful of additional Round 3 prospects as well to the Draft Roster. The roster updates will be under the current Roster names.

This update will include a large amount of jersey corrections, transactions & depth chart adjustments. In these cases, I left the teams as they were before the season started, and see what the CPU has in store for those guys. Plans for today: I will release a roster update this evening (likely around 7:30pm EST).
Guys have changed teams, like Josh Freeman and Trent Richardson. Also, the players and ratings I downloaded from EA Sports were current as of the preseason, and some rosters have different since then. Guys who had around an 80 OVR rating in Madden 25 would turn up as 99 OVR once I put them on my Madden 08, so I had to scale back their stats a little bit. And along those lines, tight ends and fullbacks aren't graded as harshly in 08. In some cases, I'd have to put a guy there who either isn't on the team anymore, or who is actually a running back or tight end or something. First of all, not very many teams use a fullback anymore, but Madden still requires every team to have one. Some weird things came up when trying to edit the roster. So, Adrian Peterson and Calvin Johnson are rookies again, with an overall rating of 99. The only drawback to my trading method is that guys who already were in the league at the time of Madden 08 are now 6 years younger, because I cannot change their age. I matched up each player's age, height, weight, and skills to match their real life counterparts. Sure it does! I tried to make each roster as accurate as possible.

Once I've traded for old timers, I can pretty much edit anything about them: name, height, weight, stats, everything except age and skin color. So, I'd trade Jim Sorgi to an old team for a 24 year old quarterback who I'll turn into Andrew Luck, and so on.until I've done this for all 21 positions on all 32 teams. After I make sure, I'd trade them to the old timers. Then, I use trusty old Wikipedia to make sure these guys aren't in the league anymore.
So, I trade Manning to his current team, Denver, for a backup QB, say, Patrick Ramsey. Madden 08 says the Colts have Peyton Manning, Jim Sorgi, and John Navarre at QB. I'd trade players that aren't in the league anymore with players on those "old time" teams that nobody ever uses, and I matched up the ages and looks of the players I wanted.įor example, let's look at the Colts QB's. Then, I would edit one team at a time, and one position at a time. I found an excel sheet online from EA Sports with the ratings of every single player in 25 (all 2,244, to be exact). I'm sure your next question is either "How the heck did you do that?" or "I don't even have the patience to read this entire post, how did you have the patience to change every single roster?" The process was pretty straight forward. You might have seen my adventures on 08 here. I've been playing 08 for 6 years now, and I'm tired of my hometown 49ers being horrible.
EA Sports hasn't released a PC version of Madden since 08, so that's what I have to play with (I also have 97, 99, 02, and 06, all on PC). Well sadly, I don't have an Xbox or PS3, so I play Madden on my laptop. Also if you wanna play on the road it'd be a nice laptop game.I'm sure your first question is "What the heck did you do that for?".

And if you want some nice madden gameplay with todays feel try this, the mods included have fox,cbs, and espn graphic packages so it looks like a broadcast. Gameplay still feels nice but will take some time to reacquaint yourself with physics. Need/recommend you play with an xbox 360 controller (it will show xbox icons) If you have a cursor issue on the menu (cant't see pointer) its make sure the game resolution is set to whatever resolution your desktop is.Ħ0fps (Any console madden is limited to 30fps, and its incredible) You must have the exact same roster loaded as well as same version of Maddden to play online.

As of last night me and psy played an online game that took no time to setup, and was lag less. So as some of you know I've been experimenting with Madden 08 PC to see gameplay and how it holds up.
